Supporting and Promoting SRV in the World: Groups and Their Activities, and What You Can Do
Supporting and Promoting SRV in the World: Groups and Their Activities, and What You Can Do
There are many organizations that have come into existence since normalization and then social role valorization were developed, with the specific goals of supporting and promoting SRV training and leadership development as well as offering other related and meaningful activities. These SRV-promoting organizations vary greatly - in size, length of time in existence, formality, structure, resources, activities, sources of funding, etc. This panel discussion will inform participants about the nature and activities of some of these groups and explore what they have accomplished and/or hope to accomplish. We hope that this discussion will encourage participants, wherever they are located, to develop and/or join with formal and informal groups to promote SRV development and implementation, in order that vulnerable people have access to the good things of life.
